Ever since the beginning of time, God has desired to communicate with us through prayer. Jesus said, “seek and you will find, ask and you shall receive, knock and the door will be opened to you.” He also said that we often don’t receive because we don’t ask. This is not to say that God is some cosmic vending machine who gives us everything we want. But it does indicate that if we align our hearts to what is on God’s heart, that God will speak to us. Today we learn about two people in Scripture who were speaking with God when they were given very specific visions of what would happen next.
