“I AM the Resurrection and the Life”
These words of Jesus bring hope and life when we feel dry, hopeless, and dead. Not only do they tell us that there is more life beyond the grave, but they also encourage us to live our best lives now. In this season of great uncertainty with the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, we need to feast off Jesus' words when we are fearful, panic-stricken, and full of despair. My friends, God’s got us. We are his. And nothing that belongs to God can ever be snatched out of his loving care. EVER!
With that, please note that effective immediately and in accordance with the latest CDC guidelines and state restrictions on public gatherings over 50 people, Cascades will NOT be meeting for in-person worship until further notice. There will be NO Sunday school classes, Dinners for Eight, Top of the Hill, the Orchards meetings, Choir practices, Youth Group events, Prayer Quilting, Saturday Game Nights, Yarn Ministries, or Pancake Breakfasts until further notice. Session and Deacons’ meetings will be encouraged to deliberate as best as they can via email.
Instead, we will be shifting gears to offer prerecorded worship services online. Please check out the recording for this past Sunday's worship service under Recent Sermons at the bottom of our Website's Homepage at www.caspres.org. We will have this week’s service ready in time for everyone to gather at 10:15am on Sunday for worship with their coffee and pjs, but in the comfort of their homes.
Despite all this, let us have the peace of heart knowing that the Lord is near and that all will be well in His time! We have no need to panic or be afraid. It’s time for us to live into our mantra… God is Good All the time! All the time, God is Good! Amen!
